We are located at 386 Haywood Lane, near Nolensville Rd. Our shop hours are 12-8PM Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1-7PM on Sundays. Walk-ins are always welcome for both tattoos and piercings, but appointments are preferred for large projects. You must be 18 years or older with a valid government issued ID to get tattooed. We accept drivers licenses, ID cards with your photo and date of birth, military ID's, passports, work and/or residency Visas. Social security cards, birth certificates, student ID's, work ID's cannot be accepted as valid forms of ID.

If you are under 18 years old you cannot get tattooed, even with parental consent. If you are under 18 years old and would like to get pierced, you must have a copy of your birth certificate, a photo ID, and a parent or guardian present with a valid government issued ID.

Do I need an appointment?
We work by appointment Tuesday-Thursday but we gladly accept walk-ins, when our schedule permits.
(A $50 non-refundable deposit* is required to make an appointment which comes off the final cost of the tattoo.)
Do you take walk-ins?
We gladly take walk-ins during the week when schedules permit on a first come first serve basis.
If you don’t have an appointment, you’re welcome to call ahead to see what the day’s work load is like. We are unable to hold spots for walk-ins via phone or email.

I want a tattoo but I’m on a limited budget.
No worries! Our artists are happy to design you a custom piece within your budget. Just let the artist know your budget during consultation.
I'm turning 18 tomorrow. Can I get a tattoo today?
No. Tennessee State Law requires you to be 18 with a valid form of identification to be tattooed.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash is preferred but we accept all major credit cards for your convenience.
Can I bring my child?
You MUST be 18 years old to be in our work stations however children are allowed in the lobby WITH adult supervision, at ArtWerks discretion.
What happens if I miss my appointment?
If you want to save your deposit, we require at least 24 hours notice to reschedule your appointment. If you no call, no show we can stil reschedule you but your deposit will not be refunded or moved to your new appointment.
Do you rework and coverup old tattoos?
Short answer, yes. But it's best for you to come up to the shop so we can review the existing work and determine what is doable.
How do you determine pricing?
We have a shop minimum of $100. Everything starts there and goes up depending on size and detail. We only charge hourly rates for larger, extensive work. Hourly rates vary between artists. We do not offer tapout sessions.
Do I need to come in to consult and get a quote?
It's best to consult with an artist in person for to consult and get pricing but we are happy to give you a general estimate by email.
Why do you require a non-refundable deposit?
When making the appointment, we require a $50 non-refundable deposit to setup and hold the appointment. The deposit comes off the total cost of your tattoo. The price of the deposit depends on the size of the piece you are getting for the scheduled appointment.
A lot of work goes into setting up and preparing for an appointment. Taking a deposit gives us security to begin work and gives us more assurance that a client is serious. Deposits are non-refundable! If you can’t make an appointment we require at least 24 hours notice by phone or in person, or you will lose the deposit. If you don’t show up, you lose the deposit. If you cancel in advance, you don’t lose the deposit. We will roll the deposit to your new appointment time. We value our time and yours, please give us as much notice as possible when canceling.
How long do I have to wait after surgery before getting tattooed?
Are you wanting to tattoo over surgical scars? If so, it's best to wait approximately two years but heal time varies from person-to-person.
It's best to consult with your doctor/surgeon to determine how long you should wait after surgery before get tattooed. Some surgeries have the chance of post-surgery complications. Tattoo-healing is a strain on the immune system so it's best to be in a well condition to help the body recover.
